PHI certificate now also for our smaller roller shutter boxes
We are pleased to inform that in accordance with the recommendation issued by the Passive House Institute, Darmstadt, our roller shutter boxes 137 mm and 150 mm can now be successfully used in low energy buildings.
A proper installation, performed in accordance with PHI guidelines is here one of the prerequisites. According to the Passive House Institute, windows must comply with selected parameters, i.e. heat transfer coefficient Uw must be lower than 0.80/(m²K), while the glass pane coefficient Ug must not exceed 0.70 W/(m²K).
It is worth recalling that, in 2014, Aluprof, as the first Polish company in this group of products, has received a PHI certificate for roller shutter systems SP and SP-E for roller shutter box 165 mm.
Flush-mounted systems are mainly designed for new buildings. However, once the necessary modifications to the lintel are made, these products can also be installed in existing buildings. It is important to plan the use of such solutions – this also applies to the installation method – as early as at the building design stage to allow for the effective use of the product’s functional values. Flush-mounted systems bring excellent thermal insulation performance as they do not require any modifications to the existing windows, doors or lintels, and thus do not affect the building’s energy use. What’s more, they go perfectly with the building’s façade and form an integral part thereof.
