SkyFlow venetian blinds – harmony of light and shadow from Aluprof
The beginning of 2021 will be a time of novelties for ALUPROF. The long-awaited SkyFlow system of venetian blinds will appear on the market – a solution, which effectively protects the interior from excessive heat, while providing adequate optical comfort. The well-thought-out construction of the system allows for making large-size blinds, thus, they can be successfully used in facilities with larger glazing. This makes this type of products perfect for both public buildings and residential investments.
Venetian blinds are primarily characterized by a free adjustment of the slat angle, which allows to choose the appropriate degree of shading and the possibility of individual control by the user. Additionally, aesthetically profiled slats combined with aluminium guide channels and protective cassettes give the façade a modern and original look.
Tailor-made solutions
The system designed by ALUPROF comes in three variants, depending on the type of installation. The SkyFlow SZF/P version of the venetian blind is dedicated for installation in new buildings or existing buildings after making necessary changes within the lintel. This model will ensure the aesthetic appearance of the façade, due to the possibility of hiding structural elements under the facade. The protective cassette is made of extruded aluminium and has a special plaster foundation, enabling plasterwork with any finishing material. The self-supporting SZF/S version of the blind has been designed mainly for façade installation in buildings with large glazing. – In this solution, the system is supported by guide channels, thus there is no need to attach the cassette to the ground. As in the case of the under plaster blind, it is made of extruded aluminium. It is worth adding that it is available in two shapes: oval and square. The product also provides for the possibility of modular assembly, which is extremely important when dealing with a mullion-transom facade, which consists of more segments. – explains Sabina Gustof, Marketing Project Manager at ALUPROF SA. The last variant is SkyFlow SZF/A in front-mounted version, designed for installation on the facade or window recess in already existing facilities. The system is available with steel guides and guide channels, for which telescopic handles with an adjustment option are dedicated.
Complete system integration
With a view to object-oriented projects, where full harmony between technical and aesthetic aspects plays a special role, the MB-SR50N ZS system was developed. It is an innovative solution combining the SkyFlow venetian blind system with Aluprof's mullion-transom curtain walling system MB-SR50N. Special pressure plates have been designed for the columns to allow the installation of the façade filling and decorative caps, which at the same time serve as a guide channel for the blind. Therefore, the decision to use this type of shading can be made at a later stage of the investment, when the façade is already installed in the building.
– It is worth noting that our venetian blinds are the only ones on the market that have been equipped with special seals to eliminate the noise generated when the slats hit the guide channels. The textile elements of the blind are made of polyester and they are thermally fixed, which guarantees high resistance to weathering, stretching, abrasion, as well as UV rays and the appearance of mould. The offer also includes two shapes of the slats: in the shape of the letter C (a double-sided folding inwards provides stiffness and resistance to wind) and in the shape of the letter Z, which provide greater sealing and thus shade the room. - ALUPROF expert points out.
The wide colour palette of SkyFlow blind slats available in the offer will certainly satisfy all needs of the most demanding customers. Coatings of extruded elements are made by powder coating, which ensures the quality and durability of the product. Moreover, it is possible to paint slats in any colour from the RAL palette, which will allow to match them to the colour of the window joinery or façade.
Efficient sun management
Modern construction nowadays has to meet three criteria: functionality, economy, and at the same time have an interesting design. Investors' expectations are also focused on obtaining the greatest possible comfort, which can be provided by properly selected automatic control. The use of a fully automatic control system, including solar sensors, enables constant monitoring of the sun's position and smooth control of blinds. This allows to control the level of solar energy penetrating into the building, thus protecting against overheating and eliminating the glare effect that can appear on TV screens or computers. The use of other elements of weather automation, such as rain or wind sensors, can in turn provide additional protection for the shading in the case of adverse weather conditions. What is important is that the right choice allows to control blinds from any place and at any time with tablets or smartphones. In addition, it can also be extended with other elements such as motion detectors, lights, cameras and alarm systems.
